Games are won and lost due to missed opportunities around the rim. Spend a chunk of time with players on finishing. A player has to be crafty in order to execute possessions when getting the ball around the rim. Use skill breakdowns with your players to build on footwork and progress by adding defense in so the drills will translate to live action. I chose to break down some film on Josh Hart (LA Lakers) finishing. He is, in my opinion dating back to his Villanova playing days, one of the most efficient guards finishing around the rim.
