- OTHER NOTES
- Do what is best for you as a coach, what fits your coaching style.
- As a coach, sometimes you need to be lucky. Right place, right time.
- Notes Coach John Calipari and Coach Lute Olsen as being very good rebounding coaches, through 5 v 5 competition.
- Intensity, Rhythm, Energy, Flow, and Simplicity are key in drills.
Quote (when speaking about defense): “To give yourself a chance, you’re in a stance.”
Thoughts – Coach Pastner is an extremely humble person, especially for being at the level that he is. You can tell he is a true student of the game and continued to tell us all that we could reach out to him if we had any different viewpoints that we thought might be able to help his program. It was great seeing a high-level coach be so down to earth when speaking with us and you could tell why his players love playing for him.
