I broke down some film of players with a focus on seeing how well they are shot ready before the ball is in their hands. The most important aspect to a team being effective offensively (aside from passing, moving, and cutting) is having players on the floor that can make a decision before the catch. They need to have their hands and feet active going into every catch, not allowing the ball to stick at any point in time during the possession. In this video edit, the players are making quick decisions to shoot, drive, or pass being a threat on the catch while reading the defense as the ball is in flight.
