PhD Hoops Announces Rosters for 2023 Barbados Fast Break Tour
LOS ANGELES, CA – May 28, 2023 – PhD Hoops announces the men’s teams, coaches and players who will represent the USA in Barbados from July 12-18, 2023. Both teams will travel to the Caribbean on tour to compete against the best teams on the island at both the high school and college ages. The group will experience both high-level basketball and cultural sightseeing throughout the course of the week.

Coach Arvin Mosley, Jr., Head Coach (Tacoma, WA) has been a key part of the PhD Hoops family for a long time, serving as a Tour Coach, Skills Trainer, Website Contributor and Coaches Roundtable Moderator over the last several years. He is currently the CEO and Founder of Triple Impact Coaching as well as the Co-Founder of the Northwest Basketball Coaches Forum. He has been the Head Coach at both the high school level (currently) as well as the college level at Tacoma Community College and The Evergreen State College. Mosley is a highly respected skills trainer for players at all levels and travels around the country conducting camps and training sessions. He played 4 years of college basketball while earning his Bachelor’s Degree in English from Central Washington University. Additionally, he earned a Master’s Degree from Georgia Southern University in Coaching.

Coach Jake Russell, Head Coach (Rochester, NY) has been a teacher of the game for his entire adult life. After spending several years as an Assistant Coach at Roberts Wesleyan University and also a few years as a P.E. Teacher, he is now currently running his own basketball training company called Basketball+. His brand new training facility will open this summer and is a Certified Skill Lab in conjunction with this I’mPossible Skill Enhancement Certification. In addition, Jake has held a NCAA Coaching Certification as well as being USA Basketball Gold Certified. He is currently working on his PhD from Concordia University Chicago in Sports Leadership and Administration. He earned both his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Roberts Wesleyan University.
