The Triangle Shooting Drill
The Triangle, a progression shooting drill, is a drill where you shoot from 3 different spots on one side of the floor (block, wing, elbow):
- All shots from the block are off the backboard (bank shots).
- Every other shot from the wing is off the backboard (bank, swish, bank, swish, etc.).
- All shots from the elbow are straight shots.
- Start by making 1 shot at each spot, then 2 shots at each spot, then 3 shots at each spot, etc. (up to 6 made shots at each spot for your final round). Then, you repeat the same sequence on the opposite side.
This drill will work on your shot as well as how to incorporate the backboard from the wing. It will help you shoot with your legs and through fatigue.
